Up to $55/hr | Monday– Friday | K– 12 School Setting
Looking for an Occupational Therapist job in Tacoma, WA with a consistent weekday schedule? Join a local school program where you’ ll help K– 12 students build the skills they need to participate more fully in the classroom and throughout the school day.
We’ re hiring a school-based Occupational Therapist to provide evaluations, direct therapy, and IEP-based services. You may support students at one or more campuses within the district, depending on caseload needs.

What You’ ll Do
Provide occupational therapy services based on each student’ s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
Evaluate students’ functional abilities, developmental needs, and progress
Develop individualized therapy goals and intervention plans
Help students improve fine motor, gross motor, sensory-processing, visual-motor, and self-care skills
Provide direct therapy in individual or small-group settings
Recommend strategies, accommodations, and adaptive equipment that support student success
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
Collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and other service providers
Maintain accurate treatment notes, progress reports, and required documentation
Travel between school campuses when required by the district
What We’ re Looking For
Master’ s degree from an accredited occupational therapy program
Current Washington State Occupational Therapist license
NBCOT certification
Ability to complete required school and district clearances
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary school team
Previous pediatric or school-based OT experience is preferred but not required
